THE RETREAT BEDROOMS

THE BIG HOUSE APARTMENT
The Big Hoose Aapartment comprises almost the entire two middle floors of the House. The first floor contains bedrooms, (namely Pringle, Laing, Napier and Boyd) most with their own modern bathroom, and a games room with a half-size billiard table. Apartment is tastefully renovated. The ground floor offers large formal reception, dining and drawing rooms, a snug for reading or watching TV, and a well appointed kitchen with informal breakfast seating area.

UPLANDS APARTMENT
The Uplands offers two spacious bedrooms, one with twin antique brass beds and the other with a double bed that provides an outlook across the valley. The spacious sitting room atop the house guarantees fabulous views of the surrounding country, including the Bowhill estate and the spooky, rumoured to be haunted, Newark Castle, a preserved historic monument.

EAST WING APARTMENT
This apartment offers two spacious bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other has a double bed that provides an outlook across the lawn and the valley to the Duchess Drive and Fastheugh Hill.It comes with its own sitting room with an open log fire, perfect for relaxing on in the evenings. There are french doors which lead onto a terraced area which can be used for outside dining or simply relaxing.

WEST WING APARTMENT
This is a beautiful double bedroom in a self contained apartment, within the main house. The apartment is self containrd very comfortable and offers comfort. It comes equipped with its own kitchen and dining area that is over 8 metres long. It presents with a comfortable living room with outlook over the lawns to delight. Most suitable for individual seeking extra privacy during the retreat.

3. Retreating with others - Luke 9v18 & Luke 11v1 The truth is that Christ himself modeled for us the very kind of habits and rhythms of life we need in any age. Jesus didn't only retreat to be alone with God. He also taught his disciples to do the same (Mark 3:7; Luke 9:10).

Mark 6:31-32, he invited his men to join him, saying, "Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while. Mark explains, "For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves." The invitation remains open for you and I even now!
